The Training Collection

The Bench.

Conceals precision adjustable dumbbells up to 50 kg for effortless weight changes — a complete strength solution in custom timber and leather.

Private home gym with reclaimed timber walls, London — the kind of room the Bench is designed for

The room it is designed for. Product photography on request.

A full dumbbell set takes a wall. This takes a bench: two adjustable dumbbells, up to 50 kg each, stored inside the frame and changed in a second, with a leather-topped bench above them.

It is the piece we specify when the brief says “serious strength, no visible equipment”.

The workshop

Wood, because it lasts.

Material

Solid hardwood, joined and oiled. No veneer, no MDF, no plastic. It takes knocks, and it takes a sanding and a fresh coat of oil a decade from now.

Hardware

Brass, steel or copper where the piece needs to pivot, lock or carry load. Fitted by hand, and replaceable without replacing the piece.

Lifetime

Every piece is made to be repaired, not replaced. It is the quiet reason our builds carry roughly one-fifth the carbon of a commercial-grade fit-out.

Complete the set.

The Adjustable Bench

Solid ash, brass hinges, six positions.

The Adjustable Weights

Compact and portable, in a bespoke case.

Six pairs, 5–27 kg, in solid walnut with brass.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Is 50 kg per hand enough?

For most home strength programmes, yes — including heavy pressing and rows. For loads beyond that we pair it with The Squat Rack and The Plate Tree.

Which finish should I choose?

The Standard (pine and brushed steel) suits lighter, Scandinavian rooms; The Cuprum Edition (walnut and solid copper) suits darker, richer interiors and gains a patina over time. We decide it with you against the room’s palette.

Can I commission this on its own?

Yes. Every piece is available individually, delivered and installed, or as part of a full private gym design and build.

How long does it take?

Made or finished to order. Lead time is confirmed with your quotation and usually sits within the four-to-twelve-week window of a full build.

By commission
